Spice Bazaar, 2’ x 3’

This is a digital collage constructed from images of disparate parts of a city corner in Lahore. Parts of historic buildings such as the Wazir Khan mosque, that are in various stages of ruin, yet glorious in their beauty are juxtaposed with the hustle and bustle, color, and texture of the spice bazaar to form these digital collages.

Reconstructed Landscape, 6’ x 1.5’

Reconstructed Landscape is a surreal terrain created from snippets of passing views captured on a drive through the Yellowstone National Park.

Echoes of a Distant Land, 5.5’ x 2’

I chanced upon seaweed on California shores. Tossed by the wind and washed onto the shore by waves; some were dried by the sun, a number were supple with life in the water, several tangled up in a mass, and some lying desolate and abandoned. These forms marked imperfections in the beautiful landscape of pristine beaches and uninterrupted stretches of sand. A tribute from the ocean, the discarded refuse washed ashore. Beauty reconstructed from nature and life’s imperfections.
